Arkansas` chief financial officer will present the state revenue forecast for 2006-07, along with the governor`s balanced budget proposal, to legislators tomorrow. Richard Weiss says Arkansas is in much better shape this year, than it was before the last legislative session two years ago. He says the state won`t need new taxes increase and should be able to live within its means because of economic growth. State revenues since this fiscal year began on July 1 were up more than $100 million from last year through October, and some $74 million over the fiscal year forecast. However, Huckabee`s balanced budget is based on the revenue forecast for the two-year budget cycle that begins next July 1st and ends June 30th, 2007.
