State police say that a 15th person has died from injuries from an October ninth tour bus crash in east Arkansas. The bus was going from Chicago to Tunica, Mississippi, when it went off Interstate 55, killing 14 people. Police say retired Chicago police Sergeant Herbert Redmond died last night from injuries sustained the morning of the crash. The bus, owned by Walters Bus Service Incorporated of Chicago, had 30 people aboard for a twice-annual trip to the Mississippi casinos. Investigators said the bus was in unsound mechanical condition and that the driver, 67-year-old Herbert Walters, had operated the bus carelessly. Walters was killed in the crash. A lawyer for the bus company and its insurance carrier disputes the police finding.
