Presidential Campaigns Focus on Ground Game in Arkansas

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009

Up until the last few weeks, most polls showed the President with a comfortable lead in Arkansas. Since then, the race has narrowed and Democrats have poured more resources into the state. With a race so close and the stakes so high, Democrats and Republicans spent a rainy Monday making phone calls to would-be voters and putting together last-minute campaign signs. Both sides say they`re confident about the election outcome but that they aren`t leaving anything to chance.
