240 member of 39th coming home

After nearly two years of active duty, 240 members of the 39th Infantry Brigade are preparing to head home from Iraq. The soldiers left Camp Taji on Sunday. The journey home is expected to take a week. They`ll arrive in Fort Hood, Texas, before getting home to Arkansas. The soldiers are members of the brigade`s Third Battalion. The remainder of the battalion is to return home in the spring. Members of the battalion were given the option of staying longer in Iraq. About 50 took the offer, and will receive an extra one-thousand dollars per month.
