Clinton Rallies Arkansas Democrats

Former president Bill Clinton returned to Little Rock yesterday in an effort to boost John Kerry`s chance of winning Arkansas` six electoral votes. Less than two months after quadruple heart bypass surgery, Clinton appeared before a crowd estimated at more than 4,500 at the Statehouse Convention Center. Actor Danny Glover and Arkansas` top Democrats sat behind him on a stage adorned with pumpkins, mums and bales of hay. Clinton urged Democrats to turn out at the polls tomorrow. Clinton had been scheduled to appear at an aerospace museum near Little Rock National Airport, but the heavy demand for tickets convinced organizers to move the rally downtown. Sounding winded at times, but still strong in his delivery, Clinton spoke for 40 minutes.
