Suspended Jefferson County Circuit Judge Fred Davis the third testified in court today that he had two beers and was driving while sipping a third when a state trooper pulled him over. Davis was on trial for drunken driving today in Hot Springs after he was arrested in June. He also faces a tax-evasion charge. He testified today that it took him about an hour to drink the pair of beers. District Judge Ralph Ohm said he would decide the case November Eighth. His attorney was also given a November Third deadline to file a brief on Davis` heart condition and medication. His doctor said in an affidavit that Davis` medication impairs, inhibits and interferes with the uptake and metabolism of alchohol.
