Former President Bill Clinton is planning a
Sunday appearance in Arkansas to campaign for Democratic
presidential nominee John Kerry.
But the state director of President Bush`s re-election campaign
says Clinton will be campaigning for a nominee who is on the
opposite side of the issues than most Arkansans.
Kerry`s Arkansas campaign director Rodney Shelton says the
details are still being worked out for Clinton`s visit. One factor
is Clinton`s health -- he`s recovering from heart-bypass surgery.
Shelton says North Little Rock`s Riverfront may be where Clinton
speaks.
Fourth District Congressman Mike Ross drew benefits from Clinton
campaigning for him in 2000. Ross says Clinton`s appearance Sunday
shows that Kerry can still win the state.
