BUILD (a little less) FOR THE CURE

The Susan G Komen Foundation has announced only three of the four condos promised for this year`s "Build for the Cure" event will be ready for public viewing this Friday. The "Build" usually features a traditional home dressed by designers that the public buys tickets to see. Sales raise money for breast cancer research. This year the Komen group went with the condo concept to showcase the loft-style living coming to Arkansas courtesy of the new First Securities buidling. Construction problems have delayed work on one of the condos. While it won`t be ready for this week`s event opening, organizers say the public will get a chance to see it before public viewing ends on November 21st. The space KARK TV-4 got an exclusive early peek at is styled as an "urban oasis." it features a multiple drawer-style dishwasher, a three-walled shower with a full-view of the River Market and a baby pink couch that had to be hauled up from the outside of the building by ropes. Tickets to the "Build" are fifteen dollars in advance, and twenty dollars at the door. KARK`s own Sonseeahray Tonsall will be there to welcome the opening crowds at 10am on Saturday.
