Arkansas Based Acxiom Buys Chinese Company

Acxiom Corporation announced says it is expanding into China with the purchase of a Shanghai-based business intelligence and data management company. Officials did NOT release details of the purchase of ChinaLOOP, which was among the first information management companies in China. Charles Morgan, Little Rock-based Aciom`s company leader, says China has the world`s fastest growing economy and offers much room for growth. Acxiom manages personal information on consumers, along with financial and corporate data for a variety of companies, including Fortune 500 firms. ChinaLOOP provides data, database management and data services to a number of Asian and international clients from its headquarters in Shanghai and additional operations in Beijing. Its clients include a number of China-based and multi-national companies, including Diageo, Financial Times, Nokia, Total, Citroen and Johnson & Johnson.
