A new Hot Springs Museum of Contemporary Art hopes to locate in one of the city`s historic bath houses. Richard Gipe of the Legacy Fine Art Gallery shared the proposal this week with the National Park Rotary Club, and park superintendent Josie Fernandez likes the idea. But Fernandez says she can`t say yes or no until she hears details and financing is lined up. Gipe and another Hot Springs man have formed a nonprofit organization to support the museum. Several world-class artists have pledged to contribute. Gipe says his goal is to collect 500 pieces from the world`s top 500 artists. Renowned art collector Richard Weisman has also pledged support.
