The military says 30 members of its 392nd Chemical Company will be mobilized for deployment to Iraq. The soldiers, attached to the 90th Regional Readiness Command, will replace other members of the 392nd who previously deployed to Iraq. The unit includes soldiers from detachments in Russellville, Little Rock and Jonesboro. The soldiers will leave for Fort Polk, Louisiana, on November 19th. The unit is scheduled to train at that base for two months before heading to Iraq. While in Iraq, the soldiers will be charged with detecting and identifying chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear contamination sites.
