Tornadoes Hit Central Arkansas

A storm system that is crashing through central Arkansas this morning has left thousands of people without electricity. Entergy Arkansas reports 6,000 customers are without lights. The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas didn`t immediately have a figure for outages in its territory. About 2300 Entergy outages are in the Little Rock area, and another 2300 are out in the Hot Springs area. Isolated outages are in spots in Saline County. Searcy and Batesville also have scattered outages. Damage has been reported in a number of areas of southern Saline County. Lonoke and Prairie counties are still under a tornado warning.
