Pulaski County Treasurer To List Deliquents In Newspaper

Pulaski County`s Treasurer says she will print the names of all tax delinquents in the paper if they don`t pay up.
Debra Buckner says her department is going the extra mile to give Pulaski County residents time to pay their delinquent taxes.
"The response has been very good," Buckner says. "But for those who didn`t make it in time, today`s the day that we shift gears and actually start our delinquent tax blitz.
The blitz includes phone calls, letter writing and returning checks that came in past the deadline. The checks are mailed back to the residents with a new bill that includes penalties.
Those who fail to pay will have their name printed in the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette. After that, the Treaurer`s office will dispatch someone to seize property.
