As investigators continue to try to
piece together what led to the weekend crash of a tour bus that
killed 14 people, victims of the crash are filing lawsuits.
A second suit claiming negligence was filed yesterday in
Chicago. The bus was on its way to Tunica, Mississippi, from
Chicago when it crashed Saturday morning in east Arkansas north of
West Memphis.
Also yesterday , community members packed a South Side Chicago
church for a memorial service to remember the victims and offer
support to their family members.
National Transportation Safety Board investigators are looking
at the bus and gathering other information to try to root out the
cause of the accident. The roof of the bus tore off when it rolled.
Inspectors said the bus had a second roof installed, adding
hundreds of pounds to the bus` weight. Investigators stopped short
of saying the retrofit of the roof was a factor in the accident.
