After three successfull years, the race got cancelled last month, but then quickly re-instated by several experienced racers and generous supporters.
Nathan Syria said Baptist Health came on board this week as a major sponsor,
"The whole process of losing the city as hosting it and taking on more responsibilities, makes it so much easier not having to worry about you know am I going to have to tell my wife to take out of pocket expense to make this happen, so it takes that load off."
What type of an athlete, makes a good adventure racer?
Greg Eason said, "You need to train on the level of more than just a weekend warrior. When we started the race it was for beginners and we realized that the racers around Arkansas were quickly outgrowing our beginner race."
They stepped away from being a beginner race last year and made it more of an intermediate race and what`s in store for this year`s adventure?
Greg Eason answered, "And I think a lot of people were taken by surprise last year by the increase in difficulty. This year instead of backing off, we kind of bumped it up again so if you`re a weekend warrior on steroids. DENISE: Yeah. And we hope nobody is. GREG: Exactly."
