The leader among vehicles in the U.S. for the highest insurance claims for theft is the Cadillac Escalade.

A new study by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Highway Loss Data Institute says the Escalade tops the list of 2008 to 2010 vehicles.

The average claim for a theft of the high-end SUV is nearly 11-thousand dollars.

Pickup trucks such as Ford's F-250, F-350, F-450 along with GMC's Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 follow the Escalade.
