The state Highway and Transportation Department said today it has received a 400 thousand dollar grant to help notify motorists when a child has been abducted. The Morgan Nick Amber Alert System in Arkansas will use changeable message boards to spread the word about missing children. The messages will include information about the child and the suspect and provide a phone number for motorists to call. The Federal Highway Administration awarded the money. The state has a system of radio stations in construction zones. The changeable message boards will also benefit in relaying word of traffic related emergencies.
