Thank You from KARK 4 News

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: August 23, 2011
The entire KARK 4 crew would like to thank you, our viewers.

Last year, we raised around $25,000 in our Food for Kids telethon. This year, we set the ambitious goal of $30,000 but the Arkansas Rice Depot tells us we underestimated you.  Viewers called in $33,816 in donations.

With an $11,000 corporate donation from Unilever Skippy in Little Rock and a $14,000 donation from Kye Masino, the Food For Kids Ambassador added in, the grand total from our drive Monday reaches around $58,500. That's enough to feed more than 1,100 hungry children for an entire year.

Thank you for proving once again that our viewers will come together 4 The Greater Good.
