Clinton Improving After Heart Surgery

Three weeks after heart bypass surgery, former President Bill Clinton is taking long walks and enjoying the reception from his neighbors. His wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, says the former president is making progress and getting stronger every day. He is recuperating at their hom in Chappaqua, New York. Clinton had quadruple bypass surgery on September sixth at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia in Manhattan after complaining of prolonged chest pain and shortness of breath. Doctors who performed the four-hour operation found that Clinton`s heart disease was extensive, with blockages in some arteries well over 90 percent.
