Matt Jones threw for 272 yards and four
touchdowns and Arkansas shut Louisiana-Monroe out in the second
half for a 49-20 win tonight at War Memorial Stadium.
Steven Harris and Marcus Monk caught two touchdowns each and
DeCori Birmingham ran for 127 yards and one score.
With the win, Arkansas coach Houston Nutt remains unbeaten in
Little Rock. Although his team was technically the visitor, the
Razorbacks used the home locker room and sideline.
Arkansas did not begin to put the game away until midway through
the third quarter. Jones threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Monk to
make the score 42-20 with seven-ten to play in the period.
Louisiana-Monroe had breaks but failed to take advantage of
them.
