Train derailment will hamper weekend travel

Clean up of 22 derailed coal freight cars is expected to last through Saturday. That means Arkansas 365 in northwest Pulaski Countyw ill remain blocked until the mess is cleared. Arkansas State police say Union Pacific railroad plans to work through the weekend to clear the coal. The work is expected to extend through drive time for Saturday`s Arkansas Razorbacks football game at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. State police are asking fans from Conway to use Interstate 40 to travel to the game. Kickoff is 6:00 pm. No injuries were reported in the derailment, which happened late Thursday night. About 850 feet of track will have to be replaced.
