Arkansas collects $188,000 in Amnesty program

Arkansas` Department of Finance and
Administration says it has collected more than 188,000 dollars through tax amnesty payments since July. Under the state`s tax amnesty program, taxpayers can pay delinquent taxes that were due
before January first 2003. Penalty and interest payments can be avoided if tax returns are postmarked before September 30th and full payment is made before December 31st. The program doesn`t
apply to taxes that are the subject of a criminal investigation.
