Little Rock Convention And Visitors Bureau Help Those Running From Ivan

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) will immediately begin serving as a clearinghouse for citizens seeking hotel accommodations in Little Rock due to Hurricane Ivan evacuation orders in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Most hotels in the cities of Monticello and Pine Bluff are already at capacity. Because many Little Rock hotels are already filled, due to Saturdays scheduled University of Arkansas Razorbacks football game at War Memorial Stadium, evacuees may have trouble making reservations. The LRCVB wants to make this process as easy as possible by acting as a central location for finding hotel availability and accommodations such as pet-friendly rooms. Many Little Rock citizens have also contacted the bureau, offering their homes for temporary lodging. Those needing assistance or representatives of Little Rock hotels having room availability through Tuesday, September 21, 2004 should call Kelly Warner at the Little Rock Visitor Information Center at Historic Curran Hall at (501) 370-3290.
