Plans unveiled for 65th Arkansas State Fair

Updated: January 7, 2009
Bargain hunters will enjoy this year`s Arkansas State fair. Fair manager Jim Pledger says there will be 50-cent admission opening day, dollar day Monday, dinners sized for sharing and concert admission prices will be cut by a third. Admission to this year`s fair will include the chance to attend concerts for free -- a change from previous years in which many shows cost 18 dollars to 30 dollars. That includes the cost of getting into the fair. Pledger said this year the six dollar adult, or four dollar child admission will be all it takes. He said the fair should be affordable for the family. The fair runs from October 8th to October 17th. KARK 4 News will once again broadcast all newscasts live from the midway. We hope to see you there.
