Arkansans Honor First-Responders In 9/11 Vigil

In a small ceremony at the State Capitol, Arkansans paid homage to the more than 403 emergency responders who died in the Attack On America. The ceremony entitled "Light Vigil To Honor The American Hero" attracted people from all walks of life. Sponsored included Arkansas Children`s Hospital and UAMS. "What this means to me is a way for all of us to come together and promote some peace and understanding, "said Whit Hall, an attendee at the vigil. Attendees included firefighters, police officers and EMTs. During the ceremony, the flag was lowered to half-staff. The Little Rock and North Little Rock mayors proclaimed September 11, 2004 "Honor The American Hero Day."
