A teenager drowned while he and a friend swam near the Cranfield Park beach on Lake Norfork on Labor Day. The Baxter County Sheriff`s Department says 15 year old David M. Ondrovic Junior of Mountain Home and another boy were swimming outside a designated area near the beach when both began calling for help. Witnesses said Ondrovic went under the water and his companion tried to pull him to safety. Officials say people at the beach ran to assist, but could not revive the boy.
