Updated: January 7, 2009
Former President Bill Clinton could be recovered from heart surgery in time to do a little campaigning for John Kerry in the final weeks of the presidential campaign and to attend the opening of the Clinton library in November. Clinton was admitted to a New York hospital today after an angiogram discovered blockage in his arteries. Doctors advised him to have bypass surgery soon. Recovery from the surgery takes several weeks. That should allow Clinton to be able to travel easily for the opening of his presidential library in Little Rock on Novemer 18th. Skip Rutherford, head of the foundation that is building the library, said the dedication of the Clinton Presidential Center will take place as scheduled. He said updates will be posted on the Internet. The Web site is www.arkansasglobecoming.com.
