A new gas station has opened in North Little Rock for cars that run on compressed natural gas (CNG).

The location at 320 Curtis Sykes Drive at the intersection with Olive Street is right off Interstate 30.

Mayor Patrick Hays was on hand for the grand opening this afternoon that also showcased several CNG vehicles, including a bus.

The first CNG station for Central Arkansas was opened in May on Highway 65 South in Damascus. There's also a public use CNG station in Fort Smith.
