Little Rock Police Look For Missing Woman

Updated: January 7, 2009
Police in Little Rock are searching for a leukemia patient from Malvern who apparently walked away from Baptist Medical Center on Sunday evening. Family members say they are scared that 28-year-old Lakisha Jackson needs weekly blood transfusion and may contract an infection. Jackson was undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital at the time. She had been at the hospital for about a month. Jackson`s mother said her daughter has a tube in her chest that hasn?t been properly covered and has a low white blood cell count that could make her susceptible to infection. She has three children. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and gray sweat pants.
