Updated: January 7, 2009
Two women from the Iraq-America Freedom Alliance spoke to a group of soldiers and families of soldiers who have been killed in the war. Surood Ahmad from Kirkuk says her sister, aunt, and stepmother were killed under Saddams regime when her family tried to flee the country in 1991. She was shot twice. Taghreed Al Qaragholi is from Bagdad. She claims she was denied a job and a further education because her father refused to join the Baath party. The two say media reports are not showing the entire story. This was the first time the two were allowed to leave the country.
