Missing Inmate Found Hiding In Tool Shed

An inmate who turned up missing this
afternoon was later found hiding in a tool shed, apparently waiting to make an escape attempt after dark.
State prison spokeswoman Dina Tyler said when guards at the prison system`s Tucker Unit counted inmates about four this afternoon they were one person short. The missing man turned out to be 41 year old Steven V. Moore serving 95 years from Drew and
Bradley counties for burglary, breaking and entering and various
property crimes.
She said Moore, in prison for the fourth time, last came to the
Correction Department in September 2001.
But Tyler said there was no indication that Moore had left the
unit`s fenced-in area, and "there are no cuts in the fence."
Moore was found about three hours later hiding in a tool shed.
