breaking news
The adoptive parents of a Crittenden County
seven-year-old who was kidnapped last week want DNA testing to
prove that a body found in a field is hers.
Autopsy results show that the little girl presumed to be
Patricia Ann Miles was suffocated. Officials announced the cause of
death today.
Awaiting the results of the tests will delay a funeral for
Patricia for at least two weeks. Her adoptive mother, Vickie
Robertson, said today that the family wants to confirm the identity
of the child`s body found five days after Patricia disappeared.
The girl`s birth mother, Patricia Miles of Gilmore, has given a
blood sample to use for comparison in the DNA test.
A woman who sometimes babysat Patricia, Jo Ann Buchanan, has
been charged with kidnapping her. No charges have been filed in the
child`s death.
