North Little Rock police board up seven suspected drug houses Thursday as part of an initiative to clean up the city. Officials say the 800 block of West 23rd Street was known for drug activity. The city filed a lawsuit against the landlords to remove tenants who were allegedly involved in criminal activity. Eight people were arrested on charging ranging from possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premises and possession of firearms. Police recovered drugs and three guns from the scene. Ten additional houses are expected to be boarded up on Friday.
