Baker Elementary Hosts "Popsicles in the Park"

Updated: August 11, 2011
A Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) elementary is hosting a special event tonight called
"Popsicles in the Park."

It's for students beginning kindergarten at Baker Elementary.

They will get to meet their new teacher and share time together while eating popsicles. School administrators and PTA representatives will also be there.

The two-hour event begins at 4PM at Woodlands Edge Park, just off Kanis Road.

PCSSD officials say Baker Elementary School wants to help ease any anxiety or fears the kindergartners could be having about their first major school transition by hosting a fun event before school begins.
