Despite the nationwide cool off in the housing market, sales in Central Arkansas remain strong; so, of course, does demand for raw building materials like cement, lumber and steel. Thanks to rapidly increasing demand in Asia, gas prices and other factors, supplies have never cost more. Builders say they`re trying to keep from passing the costs on to buyers, but the impact is starting to be seen on the price tag.
