By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: August 9, 2011
Parents appear to be spending a little less money on back to school shopping this year.

A new poll from the National Retail Federation shows U.S. parents plan to spend an average of 603-dollars-and-63-cents this year for their kids' back to school supplies.

That's slightly down from last year's average of 606-dollars-and-40-cents.
