Another Anxious Day for Investors

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: August 9, 2011
Investors will be keeping a close eye on Wall Street nervously today after stocks tumbled yesterday.

The Dow fell below the 11-thousand mark yesterday for the first time since last October.

Yesterday was the first trading day since Standard & Poor's downgraded the nation's credit rating from Triple-A to Double-A-Plus.

The Dow lost 635 points to close at 10,810.

Adding to the nervousness among investors today is a Federal Reserve meeting.

Many analysts don't expect the Fed to make any significant changes in policy at the meeting but insiders are looking for some kind of action by the central bank.
