Updated: January 7, 2009
Mayor Patrick Hays reports this morning that the USS Razorback submarine has launched from Pine Bluff and is on its way to North Little Rock. The submarine is on the final leg of its trip to the city from Turkey. If all goes as planned, Hays said that the submarine should reach Little Rock this afternoon. The submarine will stay on the Little Rock side of the river for a few weeks until a grand entrance is planned sometime later this month. Hays has been keeping tabs as the craft makes it through each lock and dam along the Arkansas River. Yesterday the submarine moored at Pine Bluff for the night.
