Police Officer Assaulted During Traffic Stop

Little Rock police have arrested the man accused of assaulting a Little Rock police officer. It happened on the corner of Rinke and Geyer Springs just before 6:00 p.m on Saturday. Officer Jarrod Purifoy pulled over 20-year old Andre Sain of Little Rock after he ran a stop sign. After Sain stepped out of his vehicle, police aay he slammed Purifoy on the ground injuring his head and shoulders. The car was later recovered, and investigators arrested Sain on Sunday.
