State Reports Money Collected During Amnesty Period

State finance officials say they collected
$31,000 in back taxes during the first three weeks of a
tax amnesty program.
The Department of Finance and Administration says it will waive
penalties and interest delinquent taxpayers file returns by
September 30th.
The terms of the amnesty program require that the taxes be paid
in full by the end of the year.
