Lawmakers Spend the Week in Utah and You Foot the Bill

38 Arkansas lawmakers are spending the week in Salt Lake City, home of this year`s National Conference of State Legislatures, but some critics of the trip say taxpayers are footing the bill for a vacation. They point to the fact that 15 of the lawmakers attending won`t even be returning to the Capitol next year to put their new knowledge to use. The total cost of the trip is estimated to run upwards of twenty thousand dollars. In Novemeber, voters will get to decide if the state`s rules on term limits should be relaxed. Critics of this week`s trip say it`s a perfect example of why limits need to stay strict.
