Suspect Walks Out Of Jackson Co. Jail

A man wanted on misdemeanor charges in White County walked away from police in Jackson County. Terry Foster of Independence County was taken to the jail by a Newport police officer and left unattended in the lobby. Under department policy, Foster should have been handcuffed to the bench. Jackson County Sheriff Jim Bishop says that police will now be strictly enforced. Foster remains at large.
