The Little Rock Board of Directors will be voting on an allocation of $275,000 in federal funding to pay for the next phase of a new housing development. The construction is part of an effort by Black Community Developers to revitilize a section of Little Rock between Woodrow and University Avenue. Already 7 brand new homes have been built in the area which used to be known for a declining population and high crime rate. The 3 bedroom homes sell for 80 thousand dollars. Over the next 5 years the group hopes to build over 100 homes to change the image of the neighborhood.
