Cropduster Crash Injures One

A cropduster pilot was seriously injured this morning after his plane clipped a power line and crashed into a field near Havana. Yell County sheriff Bill Gilkey said the 59-year-old pilot was taken to a Fort Smith hospital via helicopter. The accident happened about 10 am. Gilkey said the man, whose name has not been released, was from the central Arkansas area. No one else was injured in the crash. The sheriff says it appears the crash was an accident.
