Police in Pine Bluff say the live-in girlfriend of the father of a toddler who died of a fractured skull has been arrested in the death. Police say 29-year-old Rebecca Baker told authorities that the toddler was unresponsive when she tried to wake the little girl on July 13th. The girl, Ayranna Jackson, died the next day. Police say Baker was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree battery after the toddler was brought to a hospital. Prosecutors plan charge to Baker with second-degree murder. Police say the case is still under investigation and it is not known if there will be more charges or other arrests.
