Electricity Back On To North Arkansas Customers

Utility officials say electricity has been restored to the remaining 1500 customers in north Arkansas who lost power during weekend storms. Both the northwest and the northeast of the state were raked by storms that blew down utility lines and drenched the region. Entergy Arkansas say outages reached a high of 1500 during the weekend. Friday night, as much as six inches of rain fell in northwest Arkansas, and winds took a toll on utility lines. A dam burst in the town of Decatur, inflicting thousands of dollars worth of damage to downtown businesses.
