Deputies are investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a rental car in western Cleburne County. Officials say the deaths appear to be either a double suicide or a murder-suicide. The car was parked under a tree in Heber Springs and was rigged with a pipe to send exhaust fumes inside the vehicle. Deputy Prosecutor Tommy Smith said the man had an Australian driver`s license and the woman was believed to be British. Their bodies were sent to the state Crime Lab at Little Rock for autopsies. The couple had been staying at a local motel. Names have not been released.
