Police Close Investigation Into Woman`s Death

Updated: January 7, 2009
Authorities now know that Sherry Kimball was alive when her car entered the Arkansas River last fall and then drowned, but they haven`t figured out why her car ended up underwater. And they aren`t planning on finding out. Prosecutor Tom Tatum says only Sherry Kimball knew what happened that day in October 2003 and he`s closing the case. The 43-year-old Dover resident left a chicken thawing on the countertop when she attended a party in Dardanelle. Police have determined that was the last time anyone saw her alive.
