A man who had been cooking methamphetamine in his kitchen was fatally shot by a North Little Rock police officer when he pointed a gun at the officer during a raid on the home. Police didn`t release the name of either the man killed or the officer who shot him after the raid Monday afternoon. Police say officers who had obtained a search warrant for a methamphetamine lab forced open the front door of the darkened home about yesterday afternoon. North Little Rock police spokesman Sergeant Jim Scott said an officer saw the man pointing a gun at police and the officer fired. Scott said the shooting appeared to have been justified, but it is under investigation.
