The Arkansas Arts Center has arranged for an
exhibition of art that has been displayed at the White House. The
display will coincide with the opening of Bill Clinton`s
presidential library in Little Rock in November.
The 39 pieces are scattered among various museums and private
collections but will be brought together for the special
exhibition. More pieces may be added.
The Arkansas Arts Center worked for several months with the
Smithsonian`s National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery of
Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Museum of Fine
Arts in Boston, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and others. The
exhibit will feature works by such masters as Claude Monet, Auguste
Rodin, Georgia O`Keeffe, John Singer Sargent and John James
Audubon.
